Job Opening: Senior Principal SQA Engineer

Soapstone Networks is developing software for carrier’s next-generation networks and currently hiring for Senior SQA Engineers If you want to explore a company that is being looked at as the next milestone in networking then you have arrived! Our design methodology is based on agile/extreme programming to enable us to target new markets without a massive new re-planning cycle. The product architecture is extremely modular with independent plug-ins that allows customization and/or retargeting.

As a Senior Principal SQA Engineer you will be:

• Working in an Agile or XP environment.
• Planning and designing test cases to ensure the successful delivery of an early prototype for a new product.
• Working closely with engineering team during all aspect of the development process.
• Working primarily in the SQA environment and reporting to the Manager of SQA.
• Writing test cases in Java as well as premier GUI testing tools.

Skills needed to work in this environment:

• BS/CS and 4+ years experience in SQA or a equivalent combination of both.
• Must have demonstrated ability to define and develop a completely automated test process for a new product.
• Significant scripting experience with Python, Perl, TCL, or equivalent scripting language, and Java programming skills is required.
• Experience working with WebServices such as XML, Soap or Java is preferred.
• Experience working in a fast paced, exciting start-up environment preferred.
• Experience with telecom standards such as Ethernet or other L2/L3 protocols is preferred.
